Our Story
Founded in 2017 by Kiki Lally, a local Calgary mom, Pinnovate was created to bring the community together through art and connection. Starting as a Pinterest-inspired art studio, Pinnovate has evolved into a licensed event and education space offering world-class art programming for adults and children. Despite facing numerous challenges in 2020 as an event space, including multiple shut downs and the risk of closure,
Pinnovate pivoted to create DIY Delivery, a successful online business that provides craft kits and virtual events to its community. This pivot earned Pinnovate national recognition, including being featured in the Globe and Mail and Global News. DIY Delivery now ships its kits and subscription boxes across North America.
At Pinnovate, we believe in using our studio space to “Create a Difference”. Our team, comprised of local artists and art degree holders, is dedicated to providing exceptional art programming that fosters creativity and inspires students to continue their artistic pursuits. We also host local artisans and makers in our space to showcase the talent in our city. Our mission has been recognized by numerous organizations, including being named the winner of the 2020 Access and Achievement Award by the City of Calgary, the Children’s Best Inclusive Art Programs by Calgary’s Child Magazine (2019), and the Outstanding Community Contribution Award by the Between Friends Organization.
Join us in our fun, joyful, creative, and bright yellow space, where we strive to “CREATE SOMETHING AMAZING”. We look forward to welcoming you soon!
